“Did you want to get a coffee before the movie? We have time.”

“I thought we’d do the movie first and then get dinner.”
“Works for me. What are we seeing?”
“I don’t know but I heard it’s gory.”
“Oh those are the best kind.”
“They are?”
“Yeah, I’ve always loved them. I used to get caught watching them late at night.”
“Ha, me too.”
“Really?”
“Yes. It always freaked my parents out. They always wanted to know how I got the movies.”
“Mine did too.”

“I know. Trying to get away with it is the best part.”
“Oh?”

“You do? Maybe we should skip the movie,” she said winking at me.
“There’s plenty of time for that later.”
“I admire your restraint.”
“Speaking of restraints…” I said as I nodded to a bag in the back seat.
“Oh you’re bad.”

“Ugh, please. Let’s just skip the movie.”
“Now, now. I have this whole evening planned.”
“Fine,” she said smiling.
We were sitting in the coffee shop killing time and people watching before the movie.
That’s when I found out about her rather morbid habit.
