Playing With Natural Elements In Your Kitchen

Lessons from water and fire

If you want to play with natural elements, and want to rule them in a kitchen, you’ll probably have some hard times.

You must be prepared to accept a portion of unpredictable events.

Fire and water

Fire is a tough one in a kitchen.

Unfortunately enough, you need to use it most of the time.

Well, it could be that you follow a raw diet. In that specific and only case you won’t get troubled by fire. I mean, not seriously.

I got my baptism in a kitchen when I was a young girl. Hot boiling water down on my stomach. I was brave and wanted to impress my parents by preparing a tea on a sunday morning.

It was a lucky meeting with fire and water, significant to the point that I still have unconscious fear of stoves going to the maximum.

Anyway, danger is always looking for dumbness in the kitchen. I had my second experience not too long ago, and I’m no longer a young girl! A tomato I was trying to get out of boiling water, refused to come to me and get peeled. It fell again in the water splashing some hot drops onto my face. Little scares of an adventurous life now belong to me.

Even if you’ve studied with dedication, there can always be an unfortunate event in which natural elements in a kitchen play against you.

Remember: water and fire are dangerous when you mix them together. Be careful, be careful, be careful!

My personal takeaway from this experience is that life can always present bent balls, even if you are prepared. You just have to accept it and get over it. Fullstop.

This is my most important lesson learned from water and fire in the kitchen.
