The Ship of The Spirit

Sonnet

I saw a floating ship of many wonders
Upon the ethereal seas of Infinity.
A sunlit spectacle of a rapturous occurrence
Upon the calm breast of a vast eternity.

I saw through a conscious dream of trance
Radiant-limbed beings courting its decks and myriadly illumined.
Their faces bore the calmness of a living Presence,
Their forms divinely plastic and luminescent.

Their evolutionary coverings were bare and simple,
A nudity wrapped of the splendours of the Spirit.
A sense of a vast Immanent’s brooding will
Powered their acts out of a thoughtless light.

One after another strode upon the earth’s hemisphere,
A heaven upon earth prophesied in the prescient hour.
