How Stupid Are Medium Readers?

I confess I couldn’t react to this, but some people are very upset with Medium readers.

Yesterday John Legend’s wife posted her second story on her Medium account and this story consequently is trending first on Medium and exploding in reads and likes.

Chrissy Teigen has a habit of writing mysterious, depressing stories, stories that lead the reader to get caught up in her heartbreak and remember the darkest moments of her personal life in many ways through mistakes made in the past. I confess that in reading the only two stories I felt hurt, hurt, and left behind by the depth she goes into the subject and how she relates the fiction as if it were a deep well of hurt.

As you can read this reader’s comment, he was questioning the amount of clapping the story had already achieved with only a short time of posting on the platform. And look it wasn’t just him who made a kind of worrying comment, but what caught my attention the most was exactly this comment. My question is, if the Medium platform is democratic why would he care about a mystery category story? When you read the story, you can tell that the author is not giving details of who she is talking about and at the same time delivering something. It is a well-crafted story detailing the world we live in today and what many may be going through.
