The Best Air Fryer of 2020

This is an Amazon Affiliate post, If you buy from my link you don't have to pay anything extra but I will earn an affiliate commission.

Air Fryer is an electronic kitchen appliance that cooks food with convection technology with minimal or no oil usage. Air fryer bakes the food at a high temperature with the help of a high powered fan. It is a healthier alternative if you are a die-hard fan of deep-fried food. The food in the air fryer comes out crispy & juicy, almost similar to the deep-fried but healthy. You won’t need to fire up an entire oven anymore! Save your time and your oil.

The air fryer has a high-speed fan at the top and a heating element that radiates heat near the fan, just like our hair dryer does. The hot air from the high spéed fan produces good heat resulting in the food to cook efficiently and appropriately. The rapid 360-degree circulation of air inside the air fryer makes the food crispy similar to the deep fryer while maintaining the texture. The temperature can go up to 230º Celcius, depending on the brand and model.

The first impression of the Philips air fryer is large as compared to other air fryers in the market, but if you want to get rid of cooking in batches for a huge family, then it is perfect. The box comes with many attachments, and the excellent feature which we liked is space to coil the power cable. The power cable goes inside the compartment built at the back of the air fryer, which looks very neat. It is the upgraded version of Philips XL Air fryer, so it has many more features than the preceding. With the twin-turbo star technology, excess fats in the food are removed.

The basket space is so big that it can accommodate a full chicken with a pound of fries. You can also cook 3 pounds of fries in one go, isn’t that amazing. We’ve tried cooking french fries. The frozen fries right out the freezer took 13 minutes to perfectly air-fried without preheating and without shaking in-between. The french fries came out perfectly cooked, which was crispy outside and soft inside.

The basket in the Ninja AF101 is deeper but not wider. With this, if you want to cook more food at one go, you would have to stack it, which is not advisable. Stacking food would not cook it evenly. Crisper plate and multilevel rack are included in the box. All the accessories are dishwasher safe, so there would be no hassle of washing them manually.

We have tried cooking a pound of fries in the Ninja AF101; the frozen french fries took 12 minutes to cook. The fries came out very well but were not the best air-fried french fries.

Cosori suggests preheating for 5 minutes for the great outcome. There is a one-click preheat option as well. Pretty tricky to open the basket and requires a little strength. We tried cooking Salmon with the preset manual setting for 8 minutes, the Salmon cooked perfectly, and it was tender. We can fit in more than 12 chicken wings at once.

It has 11 Presets with one-touch selection: Steak, Poultry, Seafood, Shrimp, Bacon, Frozen Foods, French Fries, Vegetables, Root Vegetables, Bread, and Desserts and comes with 100 recipes cookbook.

The body is built with plastic, and it is well insulated. The basket is durable and comes with a safety feature where you have to click a button in the handle to pull off the basket. It does stop automatically when you pull off the basket from the air fryer and turn on with you pit in. It is a bit noisy as compared to its competitors.
